S.A. Everly, CNE — Managing General Partner
S.A. Everly, the holder of PVDB's operating licenses, entered his real estate construction/development career in 1972 with a degree in Economics and Business Administration, and a degree in Construction Management (with courses in contract law and contract negotiations).
In addition to these qualifications Everly is also a licensed REALTOR® of several years' standing. More recently he earned accreditation as a Certified Negotiating Expert™ (CNE).
After spending eight years in military procurement, Everly entered the private sector, developing industrial plants world-wide for such clients as Motorola, RCA, Texas Instruments, Nichicon, Telefunken, Matsushita, and Taiyo Yuden.
Upon his return to the United States in the early 1980s, Everly became involved in construction management, building such projects as the million-square-foot Arlington Heights Retirement/Nursing Home in Chicago, various 120,000 sqare foot malls in Indiana, and Gold's Galleria in Lincoln, Nebraska, a development comprising 860,000 square feet of tenant space.
Arriving in Phoenix in 1986 with the intent of beginning his retirement, Everly became involved in the construction, acquisition, and management of commercial real estate during the decline of the savings & loan industry. During this time Everly acquired more than 800 residential rental units and 13.5 million square feet of office/retail space under the auspices of his corporation, Arizona Investment Management Corp. (A.I.M.).
Resuming his retirement in 1995, Everly turned A.I.M. into a corporation dedicated to ancillary real estate services and changed its identity to Phoenix Valley Design/Build, LLC (PVDB), retaining four of the original staff members and a Board Member.
